That is actually my fiance’s re-tail, but I do it too!
Villagers happily pay 7,999 bells for any gem type, and 9,999 for each metal! (Though we prefer to use gold ore, two full golden furniture sets and then some are in our posession now.)
Villagers don’t display ore so it’s a great way to make a bit of money without ruining their houses.

How I make collars!
A handful of people have asked me how to redecorate villager homes in the past few days, so here’s a how-to guide just incase more people want to know but they don’t want to ask.
I’m just going to add to this, that putting the items you want a villager to use for sale at Re-Tail works 100%, if you follow the rest of the guidelines here on function and size.
But you have no way of knowing when a villager will visit Re-Tail, though I suspect the TTing method described here would work too?
I’ve managed to redecorate Kiki’s house to this (writing chair, Flamingo, computer, cactus) by using this method, and I’m now working to replace the fossil with an ebony piano and the sea bass with a hammock.
The koi got there because of a fishing request, but I might replace with a frog later. I’ve been meaning to replace the typewritter with the painting set, but it keeps replacing the koi instead :T
Town hall interiors reflect their exteriors! c: they also have different plants inside, too!
Thank yous go out to queen—midnight and Hera from newleafnewlove for letting me visit to take photos! c:
~K.K. Slider Rewards~
K.K. Slider’s badges are rewarded for the number of his songs you’ve listened to during his Saturday night visits. To get the gold badge you need to listen to 100 songs. There is no daily limit to how many songs count towards the badge, so you can stand in front of the stage and constantly ask him to perform songs so it’s possible to get the gold badge in as few as 1-2 Saturday nights, your own patience permitting.
K.K. Slider’s portrait is rewarded for attending 20 Saturday night performances. This means you’d have to visit him on 20 separate Saturday nights, so it should take a minimum of 20 weeks before you receive the picture.
However, there’s a workaround to this. If you have your inventory full when you first listen to K.K. perform on a Saturday, he won’t be able to give you an aircheck. If you continue to request songs from him while your inventory is full, the game counts each time as a new performance, as if you were listening on different weeks. Using this method it is possible to obtain K.K.’s pic within one Saturday night.
K.K.’s portrait will be delivered to you via a letter in your mail and is sent immediately upon hitting 20 performances. K.K. himself won’t let you know when you’ve got it, so you’ll just have to run back and check your house’s mailbox.
PATHS ‘ND SHIT WOOHOO.
Posting them as patterns so you can edit them to your liking and use whatever the heck colors you want. Put cute flowers on the bricks. Put fallen autumn leaves on the dirt path. WHATEVER YOU WANT YO.
If anyone asks where you got your paths, please link back to this post or credit me so they can come here and make pretty customized paths with these patterns too<3

A new month means new critters!
This is a list of creatures that were not present on the mainland in March and are new for April. If they have appeared in a previous month you’ve played then you may already have them.
P.S. If you enjoy my guides, I’d appreciate a donation.
dude you have no idea I’ve literally been waiting months for somebody to ask this so I can go into over-specific step-by-step detail as to how I made my town this way. I’ll put a tl;dr at the bottom maybe.
Okay so first off, this is just how I made my town. It was a really systematic process, but you don’t have to follow any of these steps if you don’t want to. There’s always room for your own creativity!
I quoted DazzaBound’s turnip guide to make a flowchart on how to determine your turnip pattern in AC:NL. I repeat, all the info came from DazzaBound. Im just putting all the keypoints into visual format for visual learners.
If anyone wants to make a cuter version, message me! I literally slapped this together in like…what, 10 min lol.
As requested! A key to the colors I’ve been using to match each season when making my AC paths. It’s up on my website with part 1 of an in depth path design tutorial, and a set of visual guides as well.
